Terminator - EVO
The Terminator EVO System is the same system installed in Steve Vai's legendary guitar EVO. The Terminator EVO System is a modified version of our SVST-HSH System which is a Single Volume Single Tone System with a 5-Way Selector Switch. This System is specially designed for instruments with two humbucker pickups and a single coil in the middle position. Where the Terminator EVO System differs from the SVST-HSH is a Terminator 500k EVO Yin-Yang Push/Pull Volume Pot. When the volume pot is engaged a .0033uF ceramic tone cap for a subtle cut in the lower bass frequencies for a treble boost.
When installed following the instructions provided, the switch positions will be as follows:
Position 1 - Bridge Pickup Full Humbucker
Position 2 - Bridge Pickup Coil Split & Middle Pickup
Position 3 - Middle Pickup
Position 4 - Neck Pickup Coil Split & Middle Pickup
Position 5 - Neck Pickup Full Humbucker
- One Terminator 500k EVO Yin-Yang Push/Pull Volume Pot
- One Terminator "Killer Tone" Pot
- Mad Hatter Switchcraft Output Jack
- Terminator EVO CRL 5-Way Selector Switch
- Two Tone Capacitors, a .022uF for the tone control and a .0033uF for the "Goes 2/11" Yin-Yang Push/Pull Volume Pot.
- Wiring Instructions
The EVO Yin-Yang P/P Volume Pot comes standard as a Push/Pull Pot. It is also available in a Push/Push option and now an Easy Pull CTS Push/Pull Pot. The CTS Push/Pull Pot is the default P/P Pot for our other Systems. All the P/P Pot options require a 3/8" clearance mounting hole.
